Marty A. Stone was born in Marshalltown, Iowa in 1971. He was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2000. Mr. Stone received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Missouri-Columbia with a major in Finance and Banking and a Master of Science in Finance from Florida International University. He graduated cum laude from the University of Miami, where he received his law degree. While attending law school, Mr. Stone served as an Articles and Comments Editor for the University of Miami Law Review. As a member of the Moot Court Board, he participated in the E. Earle Zehmer Florida Workers' Compensation Moot Court Tournament.

Mr. Stone was twice published in Who's Who Among American Law Students. He is a member of the Orange County Bar Association, the American Bar Association and the Florida Bar.Prior to attending law school, Mr. Stone worked in the banking and finance industry. For two years he worked in the Trust Division of Coconut Grove Bank, Miami, Florida, executing trades of stocks, bonds and mutual funds in which the division invested. Subsequently, Mr. Stone worked for J.I. Kislak Mortgage Corporation and J.I. Kislak, Inc., serving in various positions in the accounting and finance divisions of those companies, including Assistant Vice President of Finance. While in law school, Mr. Stone served as a law clerk to Senator John Ashcroft, as Chairman of the Subcommittee on the Constitution, Federalism, and Property Rights, for the United States Senate Judiciary Committee.
